What Causes Headaches And Epistaxis Along With Pharyngitis?
sir im having a deviated nasal septum to the left side and some polypoid changes r also there. i m using flutiflo nasal spray from past three months but from past 1 week i m having headache and epistaxis along wwith pharyngitis? please advise me wt should i do ? can i go for surgical correction ?
Noted your history of having deviated nasal septum on left side, developing headache and epistaxis with pharyngitis. Also noted the treatment with Fluticasonenasal spray for 3 months.
As per the history you have provided the following is the possibility: Deviated nasal septum lead to sinusitis with infection, that in turn causes pharyngitis and inflamed nose to cause epistaxis.
Hence I would advise you the following: Consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, ENT Endoscopy and get CT scan of sinuses with nose, tests of blood including that for bleeding time and clotting time.
This will allow the most proper diagnosis and the initial treatment is usually medical line of management. Surgery is done if the medical line of treatment fails. Till then take oral and topical nasal decongestants.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
