What Causes Headaches And Heartburns And Taking Birth Control Pills For Regularizing Periods?

I have PCOS and my ob dr wanted me to start taking birth control to balance out my hormones & help make my body ready for a baby. I have been on the pill now for 1 month but have recently (last 2 weeks) started having horrible headaches and heartburn. What could this be?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

From the description you have given, it appears that you are experiencing the side effects of the pills. In the current scenario, you should see your consultant to assess the situation and see if there is a need to change the medication to something else which is better tolerated. Symptomatic treatment should suffice for the heartburn.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
