What Causes Headaches At The Bottom Of Skull Traveling Towards Eye?
im a 52 year old male with a terrible headache since friday , its traveled throughout my head and over my eyes and for the last two days its bee on my left side at the bottom of my skull and travels to my left eye , like someone is stabbing me in the head .
There are many reasons which cause such type of pain. First I think we can talk about the lifestyle factors which can cause such symptoms- lack of sleep, overexertion, long working hours on the computer, improper posture, skipping of meals, stress, etc.
Sometimes certain kinds of food like processed food or alcohol can also cause these symptoms.
Besides there are certain medical reasons like- infections of the brain , swelling in the brain, eye infections, neck muscle spasm, or ear infections. ( there are so many other causes in the list ).
I feel that first of all take care of your lifestyle, about your posture and diet. You can take some painkillers if needed. Have a good sleep. If still the symptoms persist then go for investigations- complete blood count, CRP, Xray cervical spine, and eye check-up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Milinda Gupta
