What Causes Headaches Despite Having Normal Brain MRI Test Results?

I recently had an MRI due to headaches that my doctor could not diagnose. It ended up being something silly (needed new glasses). My results came back normal. However, the doctor said that if he didn t know any better, he would have thought that I was a teenager going through puberty due to my pituitary gland (it s size...?). At the time, I didn t press the issue--as I was happy there was nothing wrong. But now I m curious. What does this mean for me? For reference, I m almost 30.

Hi there,
if you are concerned about the size of your pituitary gland, then let me tell you that it is bigger at puberty especially in females and pregnancy, but this change in size is normal physiological and should not be a concern for you and should not be a cause of your headache. If you are a female your pituitary might be slightly bigger even at the age of 30. so in my opinion it is not a matter of concern. I hope my answer is helpful.
cheers and take care
