What Causes Headaches During The Weaning Off Of Uceris?

I have been on Uceris for about 3 years now. The doctor has asked that I begin to stop the drug. He suggested every other day for a week and then every third day, etc until completely off. I am on week two and taking one tablet every third day. Yesterday and today I have had a bad headache. Do you think this is a side effect of coming off the drug?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of headache while weaning off from uceris I am suggesting it is not but rather one of the side effects of the drug
In view of this please see your physician for further clinical assessment and possible change of your medication
Meanwhile take some analgesic pending your appointment with your physician
I hope this helps
