What Causes Headaches On The Right Side Of The Head?

Hi, I have been have headaches on the right side of my head on and off for a few years. 80% of the time they occur while I am sleeping and they wake me up they are so bad, or I wake up in the morning with them. Other times it can be brought on when I drink alcohol. Lately I have been also waking up with a crackling sound in my right ear and sometimes slight pain with the crackling. Then it will slowly go away once I am up for a bit. I am wondering what could be causing this?? Tracy

According to your complain you have problem of headach with ear pain that may be because of of reffered pain of ear.

Alcohol hangover also cause headach problem.
Increased Intracranial pressure may cause dull pain and worsen at morning. Sinusitis cause headach at lying down position more.

Please mention site ,intensity ,duration and aggravating factor.

Detail history and physical examination give exact idea. Consent a neurologist for further diagnosis.
