What Causes Headaches, Sleeplessness And Intermittent Stiff Neck?

I was hit in the head by a box about four days ago. The only thing that was wrong afterwards was a small headache. Now my neck is a little stiff and it comes and goes. I didn t sleep that well last night, not due to getting hit on the head. Is the stiff neck from sleeping wrong or from the box hitting my head?

Hello,

Do you have fever or any issue related to balance? How heavy was the box? Did you feel nausea after that?Did you seek medical help after the injury? If not then I suggest consult a neurologist for the neck stiffness as well as mention the history of trauma to head 4 days back.

Although other causes of the stiff neck can be infection or muscle spasm due to uncomfortable sleeping position. To rule out if its related to the head injury a CT scan of head is suggested. Also physical examination form a neurologist is recommended. In addition to this if any additional tests are needed then the doctor will guide you on that.
