What Causes Headaches, Swollen Glands And Pain In Cheek Bones?

I'm coughing a lot but my throat hurts too much to cough. I've had a cold since last Friday but this feels more severe than colds in the past. My ears are pounding loudly & I can hardly hear when people speak normal volume. My eyes were secreting a thick mucus but has basically cleared now. Cough & spit up lime green coloured phlegm. Head aches but not normally a person who gets headaches....ever. Swollen glands at my throat under jaw area. Even my cheek bones hurt.....in the bone. Is this ALL related to having a cold or is there another issue I need to have looked at? Don't want to waste the doctors time if it's all just normal cold. I'm 60 & have had many colds in my time but none that affected so many areas of the head. Height, 5'1". Weight, 165 lbs.
