Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Headaches, Tightness In Forehead And Dizziness?
I have had migraines my entire life, but have been experiencing headaches that are very different. I will feel a tightness in my forehead and begin to feel flush. Then I will experience headache pain in several different areas on my head, sometimes sharp pains only lasting seconds. I am also having sensations in my head that make me very dizzy for only a few seconds. This has been happening very often over the last several weeks.
You are feeling a change in the headache pattern, this can be related to many conditions, and it's difficult to diagnose only by the history provided. Probably it is related to the migraine that you have, or to neuralgia.I suggest you to take anti-inflammatory drug, Ibuprofen twice daily and Acetominofen+Codeine phosphate, for some days.
If pain doesn't improve ,you should consult a neurologist, to perform a physical examination and if needed some blood analysis(complete blood count, blood sugar level, blood fat level etc).
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Suela Gjata,
General & Family Physician
