Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
The treatment of
migraine depends on the intensity of headache and frequency.Treatment however could be preventive or curative.
-Pain-relieving medications are prescribed during crisis.Drugs that may be used depend on pain intensity and may include: nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, Triptans, Ergots,
Opioid medications and Glucocorticoids. Some of these drugs may be used in combination for better results.
-Preventive medications are recommended if You have four or more debilitating attacks a month, attacks last more than 12 hours, pain-relieving medications aren't helping and If your migraine signs and symptoms include a prolonged aura or
numbness and weakness.Drugs that may be used to prevent crisis may include: Beta blockers, Antidepressants, Anti-
seizure drugs, Botox, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, especially
naproxen.
I will suggest you just see your Doctor for evaluation as only a Doctor will judge which treatment option is best for you after examination. In the meantime, i will advise you try the following home measures:
*Practice muscle relaxation exercises
*Get enough sleep
*Rest and relax
Hope this will help
Wish you good health
