Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with stage 3a cancer. I had half of my lung removed and 4 bouts of chemo. My doctor is pushing me to do a trial which I have told him that I m not interested in. They are not even sure that I still have cancer. That s the background. My question is that I get horrible headaches on the top of my head. At least twice a week. I did not loose my hair but it has thinned out. I feel like pulling it out myself. Any suggestions on what is causing this.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
In my opinion, it isn't likely that the chemotherapy is causing you regular headaches. It is probably unrelated.
It could be tension headaches, or migraines or just a result of uncorrected eye sight. Try using paracetamol for the headaches. If this persists, you should consult with your Oncologist regarding the same.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
