What Causes Headaches?

The doctor prescribed pur block for me but never discussed wat for, l HV been complaining about headache and my ECG results were abnormal as they told me a one chamber of my heart is little bit above normal ranges. Firstly he put me on TB drugs for 9 months as l had pericardial effusion n l completed it now he put me on pur blocks on no explanation, so help to tell me how does it help me n wat for?

Hi,

Most likely, the chamber of heart you are mentioning may be left ventricle enlargement / hypertrophy. It may be due to presence of raised BP. Pur Bloka is a beta blocker, used to treat hypertension. Also, some heart disease.

It has been also found useful in some anxiety states such as social phobia and migraine etc. It is also used in Acute stress disorders. You also, may be having increased pulse rate (Tachycardia) or symptoms of palpitation for which it may be effective by decreasing the pulse rate.
