Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

I would see a neurologist or ENT specialist who can look into your ear to see if you don't have something called Ramsay-Hunt syndrome which is the equivalent of having a COLD SORE in your ear canal.

The symptoms you have are consistent with this type of problem which will get better on its own but in the mean time there is medication that can make you more comfortable while the virus runs its course.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further by sending questions to me at www.bit.ly/drdariushsaghafi.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi,
Neurologist
