General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You need to see an otolaryngologist and get audiometry done as well as otoscope examination of the affected ear. Baseline Rinnes and Weber Tests will also be done during examination. Also work up for tinnitus or metabolic profile and nystagmus evaluation will also be done. Rarely diabetes which can lead to increased tendency of infections can trigger middle ear infections which may lead to such symptoms.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
