What Causes Hearing Loss And Constant Pulse In The Ears?

Hi I have been suffering for approx 6 weeks, since having an ear infection, with hearing loss & a constant pulse in my ears. I was told to try steam inhalation which I have been doing every night for 4 weeks. After seeing an ENT nurse a week ago I was prescribed ear drops as she seemed to think I had a perforated ear drum in one ear. I was loosing a lot of mucus from this ear. I have nearly finished the course of antibiotic ear drops but unfortunately not seen any improvement. I am 17 weeks pregnant at the moment. Is there anything else I could try?? Many thanks

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello, according to your symtoms and history told by you seems like your sufferring from chronic suppurative otitis media. It can get aggravated during throat infection, nose infection or any eustachian tube malfunction. In your pregnancy stage its better to consult any ent surgeon before stating any treatment and even consult your gynaecologists.
