What Causes Hearing Sounds In Ear And Swollen Gums?

My daughter is 10. She has mentioned a frw times over the last month about a ringing / buzzing in her ears. For 3 days shes s felt flu like symptoms. Dr gave antibiotics for earache. (her ears were not aching)?! Today she has very red swollen gums. Her oral health is usually very good.

Ringing sensation in ear may be due to congestion in tympanic membrane,gum swelling is unrelated to ringing sensation.antibiotics,antihistamine,decongestant drops
