What Causes Heart Palpitations After Smoking Cigarettes While Having Anxiety?

I don t smoke cigarettes but my friend gave me one and I puffed it a few times then threw it out. My heart is racing. And I am wondering if it is anxiety or the cigarette. I do have anxiety and I took a .5 clonzopan like 1 hour ago. I am wondering if I am dying or not and I keep yawning

Hello and welcome.

No you are not dying. It could be the substance you have smoked which is causing an increased heart rate. If you have taken clonazepam just a while age you should not have to worry about anxiety, but try to calm down and please do not abuse substances while being on serious medications like clonazepam as the combination can at times prove to be harmful.
