Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Heart Palpitations And Breathlessness Along With Stomach Pain?
I ve been having severe heart palpitations that make me tired, short of breath and cause stomach aches. Or so I thought. I felt pain in my tooth two days ago and found out I had a large infection on the root of my tooth. I received 500mg of amoxicillin. This is day three. I m feeling a little better with a few, strong palpitations. I ve never had palpitations prior. Could the tooth infection have caused it?
While there is good possibility that your tooth infection may have caused your palpitations however whatever is the cause, if palpitation are strong enough, and its associated with chest/stomach pain, and shortness of breath, it should always be evaluated. So I would suggest you should see your doctor and get a heart tape done. Mostly it's not a serious issue, but it's always best to be safe.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
