What Causes Heart Palpitations In A Fibromyalgia Patient?
I have Fibromyalgia and last I had to got to ER because the pain became unbearable. I felt like I was having an heart attack and the ER did to. I was told after a number of testing it was the fibro in my chest and muscle of the heart. everyday I feel like my heart is skipping beats or like someone scared me and my heart race. is this true
You have history of having fibromyalgia and presently you are experiencing heart palpitations. Heart racing/palpitations is making you uncomfortable. Comparatively, fibromyalgia is associated with high risk of coronary heart disease and stroke than people who don't have fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia patients have orthostatic intolerance, thus drop in blood pressure upon standing up. This disorder is directly related to reduced blood flow, low blood pressure and lowered heart rate.
Fibromyalgia patients experience widespread musculoskeletal pain, heart palpitations, and chest pains. Autonomic nervous system dysfunction is seen in patients with fibromyalgia and hence cardiovascular problems. You are suggested to do daily exercises and walking to help relieve painful symptoms of fibromyalgia and to strengthen the cardiovascular system at the same time. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
