What Causes Heart Palpitations Post Treatment For Pseudo Aneurysm?
Had 2 stents placed and developed a pseudoanurysm which was surgically treated. After about 10 days the surgeon had to reopen the incision due infection. I am now supposed to be healed but have started having palpitations. My medications consist of 1 baby aspirin and clopidogrel 75 mg once daily and metropolis 12.5 mg and famididine 20 mg 2x daily. I am about 3 weeks post surgery
Palpitations are normal for a while after surgery, especially if your surgical wound was infected and even more as your body is only still getting used to the baby aspirin and clopidogrel. But there is no need to get worried and I see no serious cause for concern. The palpitations shall subside a while after the infection don't worry.
Best wishes.
