What Causes Heart Palpitations With Chest Pain?

hi my mom is having heart palpitations with chest pain. I listened to her heart with my stethoscope and it sounds like her hearts skipping beats. It will beat goo for 6-8 beats and then skip and start again. need to know if this is serious and if I should take her to the ER

I really appreciate your concern, without EKG tracing skipping of heart beat can not be decided, so better to get done the EKG hope this information helps.
