What Causes Heart Palpitations With Fluttering?

Question is when I lay down or rest I get heart palpitations and chest fluttering immediately. Lasting short time..but I am afraid to go to sleep at night. This has gotten progressively worse over time. What could this be? Sleep Apnea is outruled... they feel may be electrical??

Hi,

Palpitations usually happen either due to anxiety-depressive disorder or due to some electrical issue. it can also occur do you to deranged thyroid functions.

It is advised you do your EKG, if that is normal your doc can advise you to do holter. Do TFT to rule out any hyperthyroid problem.

If all serious causes are ruled out, then you can safely sleep and just take a pill for your anxiety/ depressive illness like sertraline or paroxetine.
