Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Lately I have been having pounding in my chest, light headed, weakness-low energy, pour circulation. I went to the ER and they ran all kinds of test EKG , blood work and all they found was frequent palpations but all blood work and blood pressure is normal. What can be the problem?? Its very scarey...
Hello. I understand you are scared, but palpitations are nothing life threatening. Most of the time we do not know the cause. Smoking, sleep deprivation and caffeine use etc. can increase palpitations. Try to exercise frequently, at least 5 times cardio in a week, sleep adequately, avoid smoking or drinking if you do and eat healthily. With these changes, you should be fine in a month or two, but if it doesn't get better you might need a medication to help with it. Warm regards
