Hi,

The doctor is right, the most likely cause of imperceptible blood loss is in the intestine. However, there has been a relationship between heart failure and anemia, and cases of hemolytic anemia associated with cardiac valvular lesions that have been previously operated on. So, I would recommend ruling out hidden digestive bleeding, before continuing with other studies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Christian Castro
