What Causes Heartburn And Burping During 35 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I m 35 weeks pregnant. I m having really bad heartburn, which even prescription antacid is not resolving, but my newest symptom is burping and it smells like rotten eggs! Nobody wants to be around me! Why am I having burps that smell like rotten eggs and how can I change it if I can?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Heart burn and burping symptoms are experienced by few during pregnancy as they approach towards term. This is mainly caused due to upward pressure by the growth of uterus. Kindly take liquid antacid preparations to overcome it. Kindly eat small quantities in more frequent intervals. Avoid intake of foods which would cause gastric mucosal irritation. Improve your intake of fluids. Such symptoms should subside when the head of the fetus gets fixed to the pelvis, which happens by around 36 weeks. Kindly do the necessary follow-up as advised. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
