Hello, I am a fifty-one yr. old female. I have been under stress the last four years. I lost my 26 yr. old daughter in a tragic car accident/drowning. My oldest and only living child just gave birth recently. There has been emotional tension between us since the loss of my daughter. I have been feeling discomfort and a feeling that something is stuck in my chest. It s does not feel like regular heartburn. It started to go away but then as I started feeling emotionally stressed it reurned. Hard to digest food and it woke me up and was very painful for over an hour. I have burping off and on with it.
HI... Welcome to HCM Based on your symptoms you have most probably GERD WITH ANXIETY DISORDER. So I would recommend, 1.Get an upper GI endocopy 2.Take a course of pantoprazole with levosulppride for a month. 3.Lifestyle modification such as small frequent meals, going to bed 2 hrs after dinner, head end elevation while sleeping using pillows 4.Amytrptilline (tryptomer) to reduce anxiety. TO follow these instructions for a month, if not relieved you can contact back HCM or meet a gartroenterologist.
