What Causes Heartburn And Nausea?

I have heartburn a lot and I thought that if I throw up than I would feel better. After I threw up I had a sweet taste in my mouth when I drank some water. My vomit was dark and it looked like there may have been a little blood in it. What should I do?

Hi
Welcome to HCM
I appreciate your concern for the heartburn and nausea.
I am of the opinion that you have some acidity related problem may be it is due to acidity related peptic ulcer.
The fact that you had vomited some amount of dark colored blood is highly suggestive of some bleeding perhaps from the peptic ulcer.

You are advised to have endoscopic examination of stomach and oesophagus after visiting your doctor.

For temporary relief of heartburn and nausea you may take antacids or drugs like Omeprazole with Domperidone once daily till further evaluation by your doctor.

Avoid hot and spicy foods, caffeine, NSAID pain killers, stress, etc.

Hope your doubt is being clarified.
