What Causes Heartburn And Pain In Chest While Drinking Alcohol?

Hi im 40 female.Im a smoker no other health problems.I get heartburn and i have mild pain underneath my right ribcage to the middle.I weeze when i sleep and sometimes I cough.I had a terrible burning pain my chest twice while i was drinking brandy and coke.Now i rather dont have any alcohol.What can this be

I can understand your concern.
Your symptoms are characteristic of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
Since you are smoker, GERD is likely and this is even worse by alcohol intake.
Actually both (smoking and alcohol) cause laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause chest pain.
So better to avoid smoking and alcohol as soon as possible.
Take proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic drugs. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals. Avoid hot and spicy food.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
