What Causes Heartburn In A Child After Taking Cefdinir?
my daughter is 8 yrs old and was given Cefdinir oral suspension 250 mg on yesterday and she is complaing with symptons like heart burn what to do according to the the label on this medication it states not to take antacid within 2hrs of taking medication

Cefdinir is antibiotic. It is likely to cause gastritis. This gastritis, in turn, causes heartburn.
At present, give her cold milk to reduce heartburn symptoms. From tomorrow, first, give Ranitidine. Then give Cefdinir. By this, she won't have heartburn.
