What Causes Heartburn, Rib Pain And Diarrhea While Having Gallstones?

Hello Doctor Rynne I have been told by my doctor and after an ultrasound on my upper abdomen that I have a gall bladder full of small gallstones. I have the occasional heartburn and pain behind my right side ribs. Last night while sleeping I had the worst pain and burps ever followed by nausea. I took a tums and it seemed to settle down. I have felt nausea this morning so I did not have breakfast but as noon was approaching I had a salad. After the salad I had an unusual bowl movement bright yellow in color and watery. Should I go to the hospital or do you think this will pass with time. Thank you

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as heartburn , nausea and unusual bowl movement is concerned it is more likely to related to gallstones . I will suggest you to consult Gastroenterologist for examination . Inmeantime avoid oily and spicy food . You can take medicine likeTinidazole along with metronidazole by consulting with local doctor .
