Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain feeling of heaviness in jaw that is present always when the mouth is opened or closed can be most probably related to jaw joint disorder or TMJ/TMD..
It can also be due to other causes like dental infection,mal-habits like teeth grinding, clenching or
bruxism, stress, nerve disorders,
salivary gland disorders etc..
You need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like a full mouth x ray also known as
Orthopantomogram, MRI etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised treatments like antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkillers, vitamin B complex, muscle relaxants and also
physiotherapy and warm or cool compresses in case if there is TMJ or muscle related problems..
In case of bruxism mouth guards can be advised..
As of now take a
soft diet and avoid excessive mouth opening..
Gently massage the side of the jaw with finger tips in round motions to relax the muscles..
Avoid stress and take sufficient rest..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
