What Causes Heaviness And Pain In The Upper Abdomen?

I went to the doctor with pain in upper abdominal and under right rib that goes to the back and sometimes I turn yellowish to whitish skin color in my face. I belch constantly. I wake up in the morning belching. They did an ultrasound and it is not my gallbladder they did find a small lesion on my kidney. The pain is a heavy feeling and then it turns into pain that is like being in labor. I called the clinic to see if they were going to go ahead a put a scope down into my stomach and see if I have an ulcer but have not heard back. Tylenol is just not taking care of the pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would advise you to get yourself examined by a gastroenterologist who may do an upper GI endoscopy because your symptoms do point towards a diagnosis of a gastric ulcer.

It is important to get it addressed soon as it may lead to perforation which is a surgical emergency.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman,
