What Causes Heaviness In Chest Along With Difficulty In Breathing?

Heavy chest pains in centre and some difficulty breathing. I have took mdma very frequently over the past 18 months, up until the last 3 months I haven t had any problems til I started getting chest related pains and difficulty breathing, even weeks after not taking it. I am awaiting an ultrasound scan on my chest/heart area as they have found the chamber pumping blood out is bigger than usual and pumps more blood than it should be, at the moment I would be grateful if I got some info on what might be happening and if these problems are related to using the drug.

Hello,

There are many of the ill effects of MDMA (ectasy or molly) as:
- Tremors
- Headache
- Palpitations
- High blood pressure

It may be possible through low grade persistent hypertension through out the period of intake of MDMA may manifest later on as left ventricular hypertrophy giving symptoms of chest heaviness with difficulty in breathing. Share the details of the echo report of the heart, once it is available with your doctor for further evaluation.
