What Causes Heaviness In Head And Sleeplessness After Taking Tylenol For Cold?
i have been having cold for the last 3 days,i have been taking Tylenol and clearton D ,i feel the cold is gone but today i feel my head is heavy and my eyes wants to sleep but i can not sleep,i checked my blood pressure. 107/85 with 107 heart rate. i am on blood pressure medication and my normal numbers with medications 128/85 with 80 heart rate
Tylenol is unlikely the culprit here. The cold remedy your are taking (I guess it is Clatrin-D, not clearton D) contains an anti histamine that can cause sedation in some individuals. If you do not have fever or yellow nasal discharge, you need not worry- just stop taking clatrin D.
You will be alright by next day. Although BP readings are lower than usual, still is with in normal limits. If not getting better in 1-2 days, we can evaluate further.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
