What Causes Heaviness In Left Leg With Tightness In The Left Side Of Body?
Hi , I m 47 years old women menopause I have complain with heaviness in my left leg but no pain. When I wear jeans I can feel that its more tight on the left thigh down to the leg and I notice that my half body (left side) is like swelling including my left arm down to the body, thigh and to the leg.
Based on the history you have shared, you need to get this swelling evaluated especially with perimenopausal age the possibility of deep venous thrombosis should be ruled out.
You may need to have ultrasound Doppler for a veinous system of legs and arm too. Also, D -Dimers, and blood count to see for any signs of hemoconcentration, etc. If so, a vascular surgeon may need to be consulted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
