Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A year and half ago I got whiplash from a bad fall in basketball. It has gotten better, but in the past 4 months my neck is starting to feel too heavy to hold up and makes me nauseous. My shoulders hurt and my neck is very tender. My right arm will tingle for a couple of minutes if I move my neck to fast. What should I do? I did some stretching.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think you are suffering from cervical disc problem because of the sport related injury. That is causing symptoms of neck pain directly and also neurological problems due to nerves Passng through cervical vertebrae.I would advise you to seek medical attention to get x ray of cervical spine and MRI of cervical spine if necessary to diagnose the exact problem and treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
