Hello,

You were overdue 17 days with your periods and then had very heavy bleeding with sharp pain on your lower abdomen. You had 2 negative pregnancy test report. This type of heavy bleeding is commonly caused due to hormonal imbalance, polyps, uterine fibroids, developing endometriosis, cervical or uterine cancer, etc. If you get bleeding that is heavier than your normal periods in the months to come, you should get clinically examined by an OBGYN.

You are suggested to get blood tests, hormone tests and imaging tests (USG-uterus with fallopian tubes and ovary) done. Also get Pap test done. You will be treated accordingly. Your symptoms are indicative of menorrhagia, it may cause anemia. Take food rich in iron, calcium, magnesium and protein. You can also take supplements. Stay away from addictions if any. Take adequate sleep, stay well hydrated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Prolonged and excessive bleeding is called menorrhagia. These symptoms can occur due to abnormal hormonal levels. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, relevant hormonal levels and thus management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
