What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding After Taking Trigestrel?
Hi, I went to the doctor last month complaining about the absence of my periods for 6 months and not pregnant she gave me three packets of trigestle saying she wants to challenge my hormones..I ve finished my first pack and im now on my menses with horrible pains, traumatic clots and over flowing blood and still continuing with the other packs, should I be worried about the flow? Also trying for a baby with irregular periods..
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
Trigestrel is nothing but hormones that are regularly secreted by ovaries during 28 days regular menstrual cycle. Spastic pain and heavy flow are commonly observed however it does not extends more than 6-7 days. You need to consult gynecologist for pelvic examination and ultrasound test to check uterine as well as vaginal track pathology.
If menstrual cycle will be normal then no medication will be required further for conception.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr. Hiren
