Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding And Frequent Urination?
I have always had regular periods- not too heavy or long monthly. This month I had a very heavy period that lasted 7 days, stopped for 4 and now have had it again very heavy for another 4 days and still going. I also have had some hot flashes, have to pee all the time and instantly, lower back pain and difficulty sleeping. I am 35 years old with 2 kids- and 11 month old and 3 year old. I believe I was tested already after my second son for anemia and i did not have it. What could this be...should I go see a doctor even though I am still bleeding?
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I reviewed your query and here is advise.
Of course you should see a doctor for bleeding.
You should be done an ultrasound for anatomical evaluation of the cause ex-fybromyoma may cause it.
Also a blood count and platelet count.
Also the frequent urination may show for fibromyoma causing it due to vesical compression. Also you should be tested for possible UTI due to frequent urination and pelvic pain.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
