What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding And Severe Abdominal Cramps?

New Menstrual Symptoms??? I ve never had bad periods. They were always short and light. I had a DNC in December of 2015 because I miscarried my first pregnancy. After that they got a little heavier and I got cramps, never too bad. This month it was four days early and incredibly heavy. I would change my tampon and there was blood all over my hand. The fatigue and cramps are excruciating. I ve got this splotchy rash on the tops of my hands and feet, my knees and inner thighs and my bottom. It doesn t hurt or itch. My body temperature is elevated but I don t have a fever. My areolas have grew out and are tender. My legs are sore for no reason and my emotions are unstable. These things have never happened to me before.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most possible issue with hormone imbalance for various reasons.

I would suggest to consult your OBGY and get an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis to rule out ovarian conditions or uterus hyperplasia or so forth.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
