General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Hormonal contraceptives can alter the period cycle and intensity. Unfortunately, the response cannot be predicted. It is possible that you may have a different or better response with an alternative medication, you should discuss this option with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
