What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

my period has been getting worse every month. My flow is very heavy bleeding through super plus tampons in less than hour terrible cramps. I spot for a week before I start then heavy bleeding for several days. Could this be caused by my paraguard or something else?

Heavy menstrual bleeding may be due to PCOD or thyroid issues. Do a thyroid test also. Consult a gynecologist.
