What Causes Heavy Nosebleeds After An Adenoidectomy?
Hello! My son is 6 and had an adenoidectomy about a month ago and is not getting really heavy nosebleeds. Im really concerned seeing as he was fine after the surgery and wasnt getting any nosebleeds up until now. He wasnt picking his nose so Im not sure what is causing it...please help...
Usually, after adenoidectomy there is a nose bleed so nasal packing is required. Probably secondary infection or blowing vigorously may cause nose bleed. Also dryness of nasal mucosa with nasal pricking may cause bleeding.
Please consult your ENT specialist, he/she will examine through nasal endoscopy and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
