Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 37 years old. My periods have always been very regular, I mean I could set a clock to them. The past 4 months they became very painful and heavy. I started passing large clots, half dollar size and bigger. I have to change my tampon every hour. I started may 15 and have been on my period ever since. Very heavy, painful, with clots. I am starting to feel run down and tired. I do not have insurance, is there something I can do?
HI, Welcome to the HCM, i need to know some details regarding it. Are you taking any contraceptive medications? is there any history of pelvic infection? after that you should go for pelvic ultrasoud. and for temporary relief you can take Tranexamic Acid 500mg twice a day along with Mefenamic Acid 500mg twice a day for three day. hope so it will be helpful. For any details or query you can write again. Regards
