What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Pain After Having Intercourse?

Hello I had a baby 7 1/2 weeks ago via Cesar. It's my third child. My post baby bleeding stopped like two weeks after bubs. Last couple weeks I bleed bright red blood after sex. It usually goes away. Except last week it lasted a few days so I thought it may have been my first period as I'm not BF or expressing. Now about five days ago I had sex and started bleeding. And it hasn't gone away it's just getting heavier and more painful. What should I do?? I don't bleed AT ALL inbetween this post sex bleeding. And it's always red. Also I had my tubes tied.

Common causes of bleeding and pain after sex are
1.     Vaginitis or Cervicitis: This refers to inflammation or swelling and infection of the vagina or cervix. Treatment depends on the cause, usually antibiotics like metronidazole 500 mg orally twice daily for seven days
2.     Cervical polyps: Cervical polyps are smooth, red or purple, finger-like growths that grow out of the mucus layer of the cervix. Cervical polyps are extremely fragile, extending out of the cervix, and easily and painlessly removed by surgery.
3.     Trichomoniasis: This is an STI caused by a protozoan. Trichomoniasis can be cured with a single dose of antibiotics. You may be prescribed either metronidazole or tinidazole. It is also important for any of your sexual partners to take the medication too, whether or not they have experienced any symptoms.
4.     Vaginal yeast infection: This is an overgrowth of the normal fungi that inhabits the vaginal area.
5.     Cervical dysplasia – it is a precancerous change of epithelial cells that line the cervix. The risk of cervical dysplasia increases if you have multiple sex partners, if you engage in sexual intercourse before the age of 18, or if you have a history of sexually transmitted infections. Treatment is usually cryosurgery or conization.
6.     Chlamydia infection - This is a bacterial infection that is usually transmitted through sexual activity. It can be treated with antibiotics like azithromycin
7.     Gonorrhea: This is also a sexually transmitted infection caused by bacteria. Several pharmaceutical treatments are available.
Diagnosing bleeding after sex associated with abdominal pain is usually a matter of exclusion. Any time you experience post-coital bleeding, see your physician in order to get tested and properly diagnosed, so as to choose the best possible treatment.

Thanks!
