What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Post IVF Treatment?
Hi i am currently doing ivf Treatment. 18 Apr: schedule for pick up egg 20 Apr: one embryo transfer I was given vagina progesterone 100mg per capsule to be insert 2 capsules 3 times per day for 18 days, which will be 7 May. However on the 29th Apr i started to bleed. Initially was brown with some spot when wipe. But now was dark brown and sometimes little red. My breast no more tender and sore. The doctor than prescribed another oral tablet (Dydrogesterone 10mg twice per day for 8 days) for more support. However i still have the bleeding but not heavy bright red flow. And have to wear panty liner. Does this means my ivf was a failure? I am not pregnant? Should i still continue both the medications? I haven done any blood test yet as it was schedule on 7 May. Pls advise and help.
There can be slight bleeding while undergoing IVF treatment. You need to stay in touch with your gynecologist during entire treatment and the embryo needs to be monitored with regular USG.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
