Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Post Intercourse?
I recently had a brief encounter with a 47 year old woman, who claims to have not been sexually active for a while. We briefly engaged in anal intercourse. A week later I had vaginal intercourse with another woman who is also saying she is not sexually with anyone. A day later she began having heavier than normal discharge, with some odor but no other symptoms. They went away after two weeks at which time we had vaginal intercourse again and two days later, the same thing happened. I have no symptoms of anything. Is the heavier than normal discharge likely because of an STD I gave her or is it more likely unrelated? I plan on getting tested this week, but I m concerned.
Hello dear I understand your concern Heavy bleeding and discharge could be vagianl ingections, cervix inflamamtion, endometrial and cervix dysplasia. I advise you to consul the gynecologist and undergo vaginal swab test, urine tests, PAP smear and USG scan. Treatment will depend on the cause of problem. Infection can be treated by proper antibiotic and by maintaining the pelvic hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash. Wash the vagina with warm salted water. Hope this may help you
