What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding While On Diane Contraceptive Pills?
Hi I am 4 months post partumm today I started the pill on Saturday today is now Wednesday. I started the pill with no period although I have had one period since giving birth which was over a month ago. Since starting the contraceptive pill Diane I have experience no bleeding but started bleeding heavily today and it is very painful what is wrong
So no need to take contraceptive pills till you are feeding or menstruation has not started.
Second thing pills have to be started from 5 th day of menstrual cycle which you have not done. So bleeding in your case is due to menstrual cycle completion and not because of contraceptive pills. Consult gynecologist and get per vaginal examined. Ask her/him for other contraceptive measures.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr. Hiren

What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding While On Diane Contraceptive Pills?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise. There is physiologgical phenomena called lactational amenorrheoa meaning no menstruation or fertility till breastfeeding is continued.
