What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding While On A Birth Control Pill?
I have been taking an oral birth control for about 3 years now and have been very regular on it. Just a few days ago I started bleeding fairly heavily and I am not due to have another period until New Year s Day. Anything I should be concerned about?

You are having sudden heavy bleeding, hence cause should be searched for.
per speculum examination needs to be done first.
Than if needed for further work up usg pelvis examination done.
According to cause further management decided
If no significance cause present than it can be hormone induced bleeding for which dose adjustment with progesterone pill needs to be given.
Until you consult gynecologiost temporary for bleeding trenexemic acid can be given
