What Causes Hematuria With A History Of Prostrate Surgery?

My 80 year old father has been dealing with blood in the urine for the past 4 weeks. He had his prostate removed 18 years ago and has been on chemo for the past 2 years. He just switched his chemo about 2 months ago because the pervious sessions stopped working and his PSA count had risen about 2000. When the bleeding started they put in a catheter (which he still has). He has periods when the urine is clear and times where it has blood. He's also passing some fair sized clots. Do you have any idea what might be causing the bleeding?

Dear friend you father might be having a relapse of previous condition or he could be having bladder cancer which also present with bleeding and clots. It is advisable that you see a uro surgeon and get an appropriate treatment.
Hope my opinion would help.
